Most three-day Meghalaya plans try to fit Shillong, Cherrapunji and Dawki, and pay for it with one very long final day. This package makes the other choice: it keeps the trip to Shillong and the Sohra plateau - the canyon, the big falls, the caves - and spends the time properly instead of spreading it thin. If the Umngot boat ride is the thing you came for, take our 3-day Meghalaya package instead; if waterfalls and viewpoints are, this is the better plan.
It is also the plan that works in monsoon, when Nohkalikai and Seven Sisters are at their thunderous best and Dawki boating pauses anyway. One car and one local driver stay with you throughout; we plan the two night halts - Shillong and Sohra - and recommend trusted hotels for each, which you book directly.

Shillong Cherrapunji Package - FAQ
Updated August 2026
How is this different from the 3-day Meghalaya package?+
That one squeezes Dawki and Mawlynnong into the final morning; this one trades the border dash for a second unhurried Sohra day - Arwah, the Garden of Caves and time at the viewpoints instead of time on the road. Same length, different priorities: river photo versus waterfall time.
Is this the right plan for monsoon?+
It is the best one. June to September is when Nohkalikai and Seven Sisters are at full power and Sohra earns its rainfall records - while Dawki boating usually pauses, so you give up nothing by skipping it. Carry rain shells; the driver plans each day around the cloud.
Can we still add Dawki to this trip?+
With a fourth day, yes - it slots in cleanly between the Sohra day and the drop, with Mawlynnong on the way. On three days we would rather tell you honestly to pick this plan or the Dawki-inclusive one than pretend both fit comfortably.
Where do we stay?+
Night 1 in Shillong, night 2 in Cherrapunji (Sohra) - staying on the plateau is what makes day 3 relaxed instead of a repeat drive. We recommend trusted hotels at both and you book directly with them.
Does it work as a weekend trip from Guwahati?+
Yes - that is its natural shape. Land or arrive Friday morning, drop Sunday night; an early flight in and a late one out give you the fullest version of it.
How much does the Shillong Cherrapunji package cost?+
There is no fixed rate card - the quote depends on your group size, vehicle, days and season, with fuel, parking and the driver always included and no hidden costs. WhatsApp your dates to +91 98637 89990 for an exact figure the same day.
