Toyota Innova & Innova Crysta with Driver
We run both the standard Toyota Innova and the newer Innova Crysta, and between them they cover most of our multi-day work. The Innova is the one guests name in our Google reviews; on Meghalaya's roads - four hours of curves to Sohra and back, six and a half to Kaziranga - the difference between an adequate car and a comfortable one stops being a luxury by the second day.
Both are 6-7 seaters across three rows, with real luggage space behind the third and a ride that soaks up the broken patches on the Dawki descent. For a family of five or six with bags, this is the vehicle we recommend without hesitation, and for anything longer than a day trip it is what most guests end up choosing.
The difference between the two is comfort rather than capability. The standard Innova is the older, plainer car - same seven seats, same dependability on the hills, and the more economical of the two. The Crysta is the newer generation: quieter, softer over rough tarmac, better seats in the middle row. Tell us your route and group and we will say which one we would put you in; if both are free and the budget matters, we will say so.
Whichever you get, it comes with an experienced local driver. We do not offer either car self-drive - Meghalaya's roads are winding, often wet, and frequently in cloud, and a driver who runs them weekly is worth more than any amount of ground clearance.

What is the difference between the Innova and the Innova Crysta?+
They are the same idea a generation apart. Both seat 6-7 across three rows and both handle Meghalaya's hill roads. The Crysta is the newer one - quieter, a softer ride over rough tarmac and better middle-row seats. The standard Innova is plainer and the more economical of the two, and it is still a genuinely comfortable car for a full day out. On a short trip most people cannot tell the difference; on a six-day circuit they can.
Can I ask for the Crysta specifically?+
Yes. Tell us when you book and we will confirm whether the Crysta is free for your dates - we run a small fleet, so it is availability rather than policy. If it is already out, we will say so upfront instead of substituting on the morning.
How many people fit in an Innova or Crysta?+
Six or seven guests across three rows in either. With seven seated the boot is tight, so for seven adults with full luggage we usually suggest two vehicles or a Tempo Traveller instead - we will tell you honestly when you send the group size.
Is the Innova available for self-drive?+
No. Every car we run comes with a driver, both the Innova and the Crysta included. We do not offer self-drive vehicles of any kind, and we do not offer bikes or scooters.
Is it worth taking an Innova over an Ertiga?+
For day trips around Shillong, an Ertiga is perfectly comfortable. For the 4-day circuit, Kaziranga or Tawang, the Innova's extra room and softer ride genuinely change how the trip feels. Tell us the route and we will give you a straight recommendation, not an upsell.
Does the driver stay with us for the whole trip?+
Yes - on multi-day trips the same car and driver stay with you throughout, including night halts. The driver's own stay and meals are our responsibility, not yours.
Can the Innova handle the Tawang route?+
Yes. The Innova, the Crysta and the Endeavour are the vehicles we send over Sela Pass. We do not send sedans to Tawang.
